The steps outlined in the article below are the same steps that are covered in the video above.

I'm going to show you how to download, install and activate Ableton Live Lite 10, which comes with your SL MKIII. Head to novationmusic.com and log in to the account that you just created upon registering your unit.

Come to ‘Downloads and activation codes’, and scroll down to where you see ‘Ableton Live Lite’, and select click here. You’ll now be taken to Ableton’s website, where you will be able to download Ableton Live Lite. Please select the correct installer for your operating system. 

Once this is complete, please navigate to your downloads folder, double click the installer and run through it’s steps.

Once this is complete, please open Ableton Live Lite 10. You’ll then be presented with this screen asking you to authorise the software. If you have an internet connection, then select ‘Authorise at Ableton.com’.

You will now be prompted to make an account if you don’t already have one.

Once you have either created an account or logged in, you will be asked your your registration code. You can find this in your Novation account here, enter this in to the Ableton site and select ‘Submit registration code’.

You’ll now be told that Ableton Live Lite is activated and ready to use.
