Applies to: SL MkII, ZeRO SL MkII
If the 'MemProt' setting in the global menu of your SL MkII shows 'DEMO', your SL MkII is in demo mode.
The process for taking an SL MkII keyboard and a ZeRO SL MkII out of demo mode is different - both are shown below.
SL MkII (keyboard)
To take your SL MkII keyboard out of demo mode, power it on and ensure it's in advanced mode (automap button NOT lit). Next, ensure none of the 'quick menu', 'edit', 'global', 'write' or 'transport' buttons are lit.
The following steps should now be undertaken (the picture below highlights the relevant buttons for each step.
- Press and hold the 'global' button
- Press and hold the 'write' button
- Finally, press the bottom right button on the keyboard. This is just above and right of the mixer button. This should toggle MemProt on your keyboard and so turn it off.
ZeRO SL MkII
To take your ZeRO SL MkII out of demo mode, power it on and ensure it's in advanced mode (automap button NOT lit). Next, ensure none of the 'quick menu', 'edit', 'global', 'write' or 'transport' buttons are lit.
The following steps should now be undertaken (the picture below highlights the relevant buttons for each step.
- Press and hold the 'global' button
- Press and hold the 'write' button
- Press and hold the 'preview' button
- Press the button above the 'mixer' button (this is indicated by the number 4 below)
