Each of the Launchkey Mini models has different functionality. Below is an image of each to help determine which you might have as well as the start of the serial number for each:

Launchkey Mini MK1 (serial number starts with LH):

This has an orange base may need a firmware update, found here: https://customer.novationmusic.com/support/downloads?brand=Novation&product_by_range=508&download_type=all 

Launchkey Mini MK2 (serial number starts with A39):

This has a green base and comes with the latest firmware

Launchkey Mini MK3 (serial number starts with A4):

This has a black base, pitch and mod touch strips and can be used with Components to customise and update the firmware.
