Intel or Silicon-based?
Apple computers sold prior to 10th November 2020 and after January 2007 were made exclusively with Intel processors.
As of 10th November 2020, some Apple Mac/MacBook/Mac Mini models are available with either an "Intel" processor or an "Apple Silicon" processor (the first Apple Silicon model being the "M1" processor). In some media, you'll see "Apple Silicon" referred to as "ARM".
Compatibility information for Novation products, as well as 3rd party devices and software, may differ depending on which processor the system uses. Please see the following article for the latest compatibility information for each system:
If that section contains the word "Intel" then you have an Intel-based system. If not, you have an Apple Silicon-based system.
When purchasing a new computer please check the processor options accordingly.
