Applies to Launchpad Mini MK3 and Launchpad X

Using Factory Custom Mode 2 will allow you to use the Arrow buttons in the top right of the Launchpad to change the notes and Octave (up and down buttons) or Transpose in semitones (left and right buttons). 

Using our tool Components you can create your own Custom Mode for your Launchpad to send to the unit. 

Any MIDI Note, Scale, Drum, or Chromatic Keyboard widgets will be affected by the Octave and Transpose controls. 

Attached to this article are two example modes you can use. One is a layout matching Launchpad X's Note mode when set to C Major - using the Transpose (left and right) buttons you'll be able to change to any of the 12 Major scales. The other is a Drum layout matching Factory Custom Mode 1 that can be used to play Drum racks with an Octave change.
