Applies to: FLkey 37, 49, and 61.
Requires FL Studio 21.0.3 or above.
Note that FLkey 37 users may need to update their firmware via Components.
Buttons and pads relating to Patterns Mode are not labelled on the FLkey 37, but perform the same functions.
Patterns mode allows FLkey users to navigate and select patterns in the picker section of the FL Studio playlist.
When a pattern is selected via the 16 pads via Patterns Mode, the Channel Rack will show the MIDI recorded within this pattern.
The user can play and record MIDI into the pattern using the transport controls and keys. Alternatively, other Pad Modes such as the Sequencer can be used to edit MIDI in the pattern.
How to use Patterns Mode
To enter Patterns Mode, hold the Shift button and press the bottom left pad labelled Patterns.
The pads will show any pattern you have available in the picker section of the FL Studio playlist. You can select a pattern by pressing the pads.
The Preset up/down buttons will navigate through patterns in groups of 8, when there is more than 16 patterns available in the project.
Add new patterns by holding Shift and pressing the Preset ▲ button labelled New Pattern.
Clone the currently selected pattern by holding Shift and pressing the Preset ▼ button labelled Clone Pattern.
You can change the colour of the patterns within FL Studio, and this will be reflected on the 16 pads, as per this image:
