The 1.7 MiniNova Editor is a standalone application, when loaded it's used to send/receive MIDI data to allow you browse and edit patches in real-time.

If you're using a Windows system, or a Mac using mac OS 10.15 or earlier, you also have the option of using the legacy VST 1.5 of the editor available from the downloads page. Here you'll also find a user guide for the editor. 

Users on later versions of mac OS are likely to encounter graphical issues with the VST and so we recommend the latest supported version of the editor for the best experience. Full compatibility is as follows: 

Mac OS 10.15 and later: Install 1.7 (standalone).
Mac OS 10.14 and earlier: Install 1.5 (VST), 1.7 may work but is untested.
Windows 10/11: Install 1.7 (standalone), 1.5 may work but is untested.
Windows 8.1/7: Install 1.5 (VST).
