When you have the Impulse set as a Control Surface in Ableton Live, you will find that data from moving the modulation wheel or expression pedal comes in on a different channel to the rest of the controls of Impulse.

This is because the Ableton Live script for the Impulse will filter out these messages when they're on channel 1 or 2 as it believes it to be controller data. Therefore, we implemented a workaround in the Impulse firmware which sends the data on a separate channel (channel 3) when the Impulse detects it is set as a Control Surface in Ableton Live.
