When left unattended for five minutes, the SL MkIII enters Standby Animation (sometimes referred to as ‘Vegas Mode’). This standby animation stops with any interaction with the unit, or if MIDI data arrives at the device. The SL MkIII will not go into Standby Animation while the Sequencer is playing.

Setting ‘Standby Animation’ to ‘Off’ will prevent the device from entering the standby animation regardless of how long you leave it unattended. You can do this by pressing Global and going to the 4th page of settings by pressing the down arrow 3 times.
