Overlay banks can now be retrieved through Components. This article details how to retrieve single Overlays as SysEx messages if that's preferred. Most users will find it easier to use Components. To do this in Components, please refer to this article: Importing SysEx to Novation Components.
The 4.14 update allows you to use overlays to change the patch settings per note, this article provides some SysEx templates for you to use with this mode. See more information and guides for this update here:
Attached to this article are the templates for SysEx files to send to the Bass Station II to allow you to back up overlays from your Bass Station II. Sending these messages will cause the Bass Station II to respond with a SysEx message containing the corresponding overlay so that you can save it to your computer for storage. This dump could then be immediately played (loaded/imported) back into the Bass Station II.
The overlay dump received in response from the Bass Station II has an entry that describes the key number it goes to (as per the manual) so you can change this number and the exported overlay would be reinstalled somewhere else.
Note that each message is different for each key, so there are 25 files to send in total, but can be queued up to send one after another.
