Launchpad Pro MK3, Launchkey Mini MK3, and Launchkey MK4 Mini feature a 3.5mm TRS MIDI port which follows the specifications introduced in the MIDI Association standard in 2018 - this follows the Type A specification.
Previously our products used Type B, but as of the Launchkey Mini MK3, they follow and use the MIDI Association standard and use Type A.

Below you can find a list of Type-A devices that can be connected directly with a stereo jack cable, and a list of Type-B devices with TRS MIDI jacks that require an adapter as they don't use the Type-A standard.
Type-A – compatible using a standard 3.5mm Stereo Minijack cable:

- Korg Electribe 2
- LittleBits MIDI module

Type-B – requires a TRS Minijack to DIN MIDI adapter as they have different TRS wiring:
- 1010music (all devices)
- Arturia (all devices)
- MIDIPLUS miniEngine, miniEngine Pro
- Novation Circuit, Launchpad Pro, Circuit Mono Station (see table above)
