Soon after launch in 2019 we noticed the first batch of Novation Summit synthesisers had been affected by a batch of faulty encoders. These caused the patch/parameter adjustment rotary control (to the right of the screen) to behave inconsistently and skip values.

To make sure owners of our flagship synth have the best possible music-making experience – we recalled units affected by this issue so we could rework complete a full quality test before being able to be sold again.

Since then, our data suggests we have been able to recall most of the units were affected by this issue, and all subsequent production runs have not been affected by it.
