You cannot use an expression pedal with a Launchkey MK1, MK2, MK3, MK4 or FLkey.

These keyboards have a 1/4" sustain pedal input on the rear panel of the unit. This port is meant to be used specifically with a sustain pedal, not an expression pedal. If you connect an expression pedal here, you will notice that the pedal will send a sustain message at full maximum or minimum value.

If you're having problems with a sustain pedal and your MIDI keyboard, try powering on the keyboard with the sustain pedal connected and pressed down. Also, check the pedal for a polarity switch and try switching this.
