Applies to: ReMOTE SL
Automap is no longer supported. For more information, please see this article:
Earlier versions of the ReMOTE SL OS only had two MIDI input ports Via USB. Now, the SL has 3 ports and the 3rd port must be seen by your Audio MIDI setup application in order for your SL to be able to communicate with the Automap server. This Application can be found in the following folder location:
Mac HD > Applications > Utilities
The following steps should resolve this issue;
- Run the latest ReMOTE SL installer to make sure you have the latest OS in your ReMOTE SL.
- Open Audio MIDI setup.
- Find the ReMOTE SL entry (in the 'MIDI Devices' section)
- Switch off the ReMOTE SL
- Highlight the ReMOTE SL entry in Audio MIDI Setup, and select the 'Remove Device option'.
- Switch on the ReMOTE SL (If it doesn't appear automatically, select the 'Rescan MIDI' option).
The ReMOTE SL should now appear with three inputs and outputs, and the Automap server should say “ReMOTE SL connected”. To use Automap, you must ensure that your SL hardware is set to template 38.
