A few computers will not power the Remote via USB. This is due to issues with the way the Remote draws current when initially connected.

It is possible to power the Remote using 6 x 'C' batteries - you can use rechargeable batteries and set the Remote to charge them from USB (this will work on all computers). Also using either a powered USB hub to connect the Remote or a Novation PSU-6 power supply will get around the problem.
