There are two ways to create zones with the SL. The first is to create zone globally, this means the zones apply to all the templates. First, you'll need to press 'template' twice, then set Zones to 'global'. Now press 'global' twice, set Zones to 'On'. Now all four zones are turned on. So you can now adjust the low notes, high notes, transpose, velocity curve, MIDI channel and ports for each zone.

The second method is to create zones only for a certain template. Select the template you want. Double press the global button and make sure zones is set to off. Now double press the template button and set zones to 'ON'. Again, all four zones are turned on. So now you can adjust the low notes, high notes, transpose, velocity curve, MIDI channel and ports for each zone within the template.
