Functionality
When set as a HUI device in Reaper, Launchkey controls the following:
- DAW Mode* – the pads control Mute/Solo and Arm/Select for the tracks in focus. The Function button toggles between the two modes.
- Mixer Mode – the encoders control Volume/Pan levels for the tracks in focus. The Encoder Bank buttons toggle between the two modes.
- Sends Mode – the encoders control Sends A-E for the tracks in focus. The Encoder Bank buttons toggle between the different sends.
- Play, Record and Stop control the corresponding transport functions in Reaper.
- Holding Shift and moving an encoder previews the encoder parameter on the Launchkey screen, without affecting the control value.
*On Launchkey MK4 49 and 61, the pads are fixed to Mute/Solo when set to DAW Mode. The fader buttons are fixed to Select/Arm, as long as they are set to Volume Mode (default). The faders are fixed to control the Volume levels for the tracks in focus, with Fader 9 set to control the Master track.
