Applies to Launchpad Pro MK3
To set the Launchpad Pro MK3 up with Ableton Live 11 please connect your Launchpad and then open Ableton.
Then go to the Preferences (Options > Preferences on Windows, Ableton Live > Preferences on macOS) and go to the Link/Tempo/MIDI tab:
Then select the Launchpad Pro MK3 Control Surface:
And then set the Launchpad Pro MK3 DAW Out and DAW (LPProMK3 IN (Port 3) on Windows) In for the Input and Output ports and then match the settings below:
Note that enabling MPE for the input port means that all MIDI channels are in use, so it's not possible to set a track to discretely respond to one MIDI channel. You may wish to disable it if not using Polyphonic Aftertouch data from the pads.
If you'd like Live to follow the sequencer tempo and play control, set the Sync to On for the MIDI input of the Launchpad Pro (the one labelled Launchpad Pro MK3 MIDI(or LPPro MK3 MIDI on Windows). If you want the sequencer to follow Ableton set Sync to on for the Output port of the same name.
