Applies to FLpad and FLpad Mini
FLpad requires FL Studio version 26.1.6 or later.
Please note the FLpad and FLpad Mini are not supported in FL Studio Web or FL Studio Mobile
FL Studio should automatically detect your FLpad and set up the control scripts for you. If you encounter any issues with this, you can set this up manually. A sign that this has not been set up automatically will be some performance modes not being accessible. The video below walks through how to configure the FLpad in FL Studio.
Windows
FLpad
- Open FL Studio's MIDI settings by going to Options > MIDI Settings.
- Make sure both the MIDI and MIDIIn2 ports are showing in the input panel.
- If you do not see the ports showing, please make sure the device is powered and click the 'Refresh device list' at the bottom of the page.
- Select the FLpad MIDI port and set the 'Controller type' to Novation FLpad MIDI.
- Repeat the above step to set the MIDIn2 (FLpad MIDI) port and set the 'Controller type' to Novation FLpad DAW.
- If you do not see the relevant option, try clicking "Update MIDI Scripts" to ensure that FL Studio has been able to download the latest versions from the Image-Line server.
- Set the input and output port numbers for both the MIDI and MIDIIn2 ports
- The input and output port numbers for each port need to match.
- The MIDI and MIDIIn2 ports need to have unique port numbers.
- The port number can be set to any value that is not currently in use, except 0. Typically, using a high number will avoid any that are in use.
- The image below shows how the settings should look once correctly configured.
