Before proceeding, make sure to update the Launchkey MK4's firmware to the latest version using Components: components.novationmusic.com

Cubase Setup
Windows
Once the Launchkey MK4's firmware is up-to-date, download the Cubase script installer from the link below:
Quit Cubase, then run the script installer:
Once the installer is finished, open Cubase with Launchkey MK4 connected to your computer via USB.
Launchkey MK4 is automatically recognised by Cubase under 'MIDI Remote' as per the following screenshot (here shown for a Launchkey MK4 61):
If set up correctly, the OLED screen displays 'Cubase' after a few moments, and the DAW, Plugin, Mixer, Sends, and Transport pads light up when you hold the Shift button.
With no tracks open, the pads will not be lit, once tracks are in the session they initially light up like the picture below.
In Cubase Studio Setup > MIDI Remote, Launchkey MK4 will automatically appear as per the following screenshot:
In Cubase Studio Setup > MIDI Port Setup, Launchkey MK4 automatically appears as per the following screenshot:
If you need to set up Launchkey MK4 manually, match the settings above.
If having issues, make sure you have installed the latest version of the Novation USB driver from the Launchkey Downloads page: downloads.novationmusic.com/novation
Mac
Once the Launchkey MK4's firmware is up-to-date, download the Cubase script installer from the link below:
