Reason 13.0.2 or later
Reason 13.0.2 (or later) contains the scripts for Launchkey MK4 and Launchkey MK4 Mini, so there's no need to install any script manually, unlike for previous versions.
- Open Reason with your Launchkey MK4 connected.
- Go to Settings/Preferences > Control Surfaces
- Click 'Auto-detect Surfaces' to set up the controller automatically.
Reason 11 / 12 / 13
Reason 13.0.2, released on 29th August 2024, contains the scripts for Launchkey MK4 and Launchkey MK4 Mini. We advise not using the script installers mentioned in this article and instead update Reason to 13.0.2 or later.
- Download the scripts from the following link:

- Open File Explorer and navigate to C > Program Files > Propellerhead Software > Reason 11 (as appropriate) > Remote
- Open the DefaultMaps > Novation folder.
- Copy the 'Launchkey Mini MK4.remotemap' and 'Launchkey MK4.remotemap' included in the Default Maps > Novation folder from this zip.
- Go to Codecs > Lua Codecs > Novation
- Copy the contents of the Novation folder in the Default Codecs > Lua Codecs folder in this zip.
- Open Reason with your Launchkey MK4 connected.
- Go to Settings/Preferences > Control Surfaces
- Click 'Auto-detect Surfaces' to set up the controller automatically.
Reason 10
- Download the scripts from the following link:

- Open File Explorer go to View > Show > select Hidden Items
- Navigate to C > Program Data > Propellerhead Software > Remote
- Open the Maps > Novation folder.
- Copy the Launchkey Mini MK4.remotemap and Launchkey MK4.remotemap included in the Default Maps> Novation folder from this zip.
- Repeat step 3, then go Codecs > Lua Codecs > Novation
- Copy the contents of the Novation folder in the Default Codecs > Lua Codecs folder in this zip.
- Open Reason with your Launchkey MK4 connected.
- Go to Settings/Preferences > Control Surfaces
- Click' Auto-detect Surfaces' to set up the controller automatically.
If set up correctly, the Launchkey will appear as follows in Reason:

- Repeat steps 1 through 3
- Go to Contents > Resources > DefaultCodecs > Lua Codecs > Novation
- Copy the contents of the Novation folder in the matching file path in this zip.
- Open Reason with your Launchkey MK4 connected.
- Go to Settings/Preferences > Control Surfaces
- Click 'Auto-detect Surfaces' to set up the controller automatically.
Reason 10
- Download the scripts from the following link:

- Go to Finder > Go > Computer > Macintosh HD (or equivalent hard drive name) > Library > Application Support > Propellerhead Software > Remote
- Go to Maps > Novation
- Copy the 'Launchkey Mini MK4.remotemap' and 'Launchkey MK4.remotemap' included in the Default Maps> Novation folder from this zip
- Repeat step 2
- Go to Codecs > Lua Codecs > Novation
- Copy the contents of the Novation folder in the Default Codecs > Lua Codecs folder in this zip.
- Open Reason with your Launchkey MK4 connected.
- Go to Settings/Preferences > Control Surfaces
- Click 'Auto-detect Surfaces' to set up the controller automatically.
