If you would like to use more than one Launch Control product simultaneously, you can assign one of up to eight Device IDs to each unit. This allows them to be recognised as separate devices in certain applications.
Depending on your device, see the steps in the relevant section below.
Launch Control XL 3
To change the Device ID on Launch Control XL 3:
- Power the device on in Bootloader mode by pressing and holding the Page
and Page
buttons whilst connecting the USB cable.
- Once it powers up, release the buttons.
- Use the top row of fader buttons, numbered 1 to 8, to set the Launch Control XL 3 to the desired Device ID — the current ID will appear on the screen.
- Press the Play ▷ button to load back into the main firmware and return to the normal functions of the Launch Control XL 3.
Launch Control 3
To change the Device ID on Launch Control 3:
- Power the device on in Bootloader mode by pressing and holding the Page
and Page
buttons whilst connecting the USB cable.
- Once it powers up, release the buttons.
- Use the top row of buttons, numbered 1 to 8, to set the Launch Control 3 to the desired Device ID — the current ID will appear on the screen.
- Press the Mode button to load back into the main firmware and return to the normal functions of the Launch Control 3.
Launch Control XL [MK1/MK2]
To change the Device ID on Launch Control XL [MK1/MK2]:
- Power the device on in Bootloader mode by pressing and holding the User and Factory buttons on the Launch Control XL whilst connecting the USB cable. Once it powers up, release the buttons.
- Hold the Track Select < left button and press one of the numbered pads on the bottom — the number you select will set the device ID.
- Press the Track Select > right button to load back into the main firmware and return to the normal functions of the Launch Control XL.
Launch Control [MK1]
To change the Device ID on Launch Control [MK1]:
- Power the device on in Bootloader mode by pressing and holding the User and Factory buttons on the Launch Control whilst connecting the USB cable. Once it powers up, release the buttons.
- Hold the Track Select < left button and press one of the numbered pads on the bottom — the number you select will set the device ID.
- Press the Track Select > right button to load back into the main firmware and return to the normal functions of the Launch Control.
