Each track has eight available Patterns. Each pattern can hold up to 32 steps, all patterns can run at different rates.

Patterns can be chained together by pressing and holding one pattern and then selecting another.

The Launchpad Pro [MK3] also has ability to use “Scenes” – 16 scenes are available – these can hold different pattern chains – for example, Scene 1 could play Pattern 1 and then 2 of Track 1 whereas Scene 2 may be set to play Pattern 2 then Pattern 3 of Track 1. This can be used for building sections of a song into your Scenes. 

Scenes can be chained together so​ ​​when one Scene's chain finishes the next will play.

Scenes are chained together by pressing and holding scene and then press the final scene you wish to put in the chain.
