Ableton Live Lite is included with qualifying Novation hardware products. Ableton Live Lite is a digital audio workstation (DAW) created by the company Ableton. To install and authorise Ableton Live Lite, you need to register your Novation product in your Novation account:

Once you've created your account and registered your product in The Collective, you're ready to install Ableton Live Lite. The Collective is a place to access bundled software, manage your account, and see your registered Novation and Focusrite products in one place.
Step-by-Step guide
This is a step-by-step guide to installing Ableton Live Lite with text and screenshots. If you'd prefer to watch a video, please scroll down to the video tutorials section of this article.
1. Log into your Novation account at id.focusritegroup.com/register/signup
2. Click the My Software tab at the top of the page.
3. Click View details on the Ableton Live Lite panel.
4. Scroll down on the next page and click Show me my code.
5. Click Copy to the right of the code.
6. Click the Ableton link in step 3 of the on-screen instructions, or this link here: ableton.com/products/live-lite - This link takes you to Ableton's website.
7. Click the Download button - the dropdown should automatically detect your computer's operating system, but check it's correct.
The installer for Ableton Live Lite is quite a large file (≈3GB at the time of writing this guide), so it might take a little while to download, in the meantime please go to the next step.
8. Create, or log into, an Ableton account. Click Log in or register in the top right corner of Ableton's website.
9. Enter your details and click Create Account or Log in.
10. Open your computer's File Explorer (Windows) or Finder (macOS) and go to your Downloads folder.
11. Open the Ableton Live Lite installer - to do so:
- On Windows: Right-click and select Extract All, then double-click the file Ableton Live Lite Installer.

- On macOS: double-click the Ableton installer.
12. Read the EULA and go through the instructions in the Ableton Live Lite installer. Again the installer can take a little while, when the installation is finished, go through the next steps.

13. Open Ableton Live Lite from your Applications folder.
14. Click Authorize with ableton.com.
15. Paste the Registration Code from your Collective account (see step 5 above) and click Submit.
16. Click Open Ableton Live Lite in the pop-up.
17. Click OK in the pop-up in Ableton.
You've now finished the installation and activation of Ableton Live Lite. You can start to record, make music, or carry on installing and setting up your new Novation device.
