You can find a video guide on setting up your Launchkey with Logic Pro here, or please follow the steps below:
To set up your Launchkey MK3 with Logic you need to install the script which you can download here. If you are using Logic Pro 10.7 or later, please install script v2.1. As for users using Logic Pro 10.6 or below, please install script v1.0.
1. Close Logic and run the script installer.
2. Once the installer is finished open Logic with the Launchkey connected, you may be prompted to Auto Assign controls (which you can accept). If not, go to:
Logic Pro > Preferences > Control Surfaces > Setup > New > Install
In there, find the entry for your Launchkey MK3 and select Add (below shown for Launchkey 37 MK3):
3. Set the Output Port and Input Port to the 'DAW' entries as below:
If you have any issues, please go to Logic Pro > Control Surfaces > Rebuild Defaults to see if this resolves the issue.
Please note that the Logic Live Loops feature is only integrated with the Launchpad range. However, you can use the Custom Mode on your Launchkey to manually map the pads to the Live Loop cells. You can learn more about Custom Modes in this article.
